Gestratz (dpa / lby) - During unsuccessful forest work in the Swabian district of Lindau, a 35-year-old man was seriously injured on Saturday.
According to the police, he wanted to pull tree trunks out of the forest together with two other workers in Gestratz.
The men therefore used a tractor to which a radio-controlled winch was attached.
The logs apparently got caught and the pull rope came under tension.
The tree trunks would suddenly have come loose.
The 35-year-old was hit on the right side of the body by one of the trunks.
He suffered several broken bones.
The seriously but not life-threatening injured man was flown to a hospital by rescue helicopter.
