On December 17, 2020, the Chang'e-5 return capsule landed safely and brought back nearly 2 kilograms of lunar samples. This was the first time that my country's extraterrestrial celestial bodies were sampled and returned. This is an important milestone in the construction of a space power.

The lunar soil that entered the National Museum of Tibet is officially named "Lunar Sample 001" and its weight is 100 grams.

According to reports, the material of the container containing the lunar soil is man-made crystal, and the overall shape is borrowed from the series of bronze "zun" shapes collected by the National Museum of China, to reflect the sense of stability and elegance.

The overall external shape is 38.44cm high, symbolizing the average distance between the earth and the moon of 384,400km.

The overall external shape is 22.89cm wide, symbolizing the mission duration of Chang'e-5 from launch to return.

From two latitudes in time and space, it shows China's leading position in lunar exploration.

The internal shape of the container is composed of the earth, a map of China, the moon, and the lunar soil.

The lunar soil is stored in the hollow sandwich sphere at the center.

By filling the lunar soil in it, it can present the shape of the moon.

The lower part of the earth is frosted and transparent, and the upper part of the map of China is prominent, symbolizing China's long-term affection for the moon.

Especially in the container, the distance between the earth and the moon is designed to be 9.9cm, which is inspired by the “nine skies in the sky” described by the ancients, implying that China's lunar exploration has broken the limit and crossed the “nine layers”.

The exhibition is located in the Guoboxi Hall.

The National Museum's exhibition centered on Lunar Sample 001, exhibited more than 40 physical objects related to lunar exploration projects including Lunar Sample 001, supplemented by a large number of picture materials, dynamic pictures and video materials, to systematically review China's lunar exploration The brilliant achievements of the project fully demonstrate the great struggle of the Chinese people to realize the dream of "Looking at the Moon in Nine Heavens".

More than 20 of the scientific and technological objects exhibited in this exhibition are the aerospace science and technology collections collected by the National Museum over the years.

He hopes to use this exhibition to lead the audience to understand the major achievements of scientific and technological innovation represented by the lunar exploration project, to understand the important role of the new national system in promoting major scientific and technological innovation, and to encourage the people of the country to dare to dream, to be creative, and to be good at work. Morale gathers majestic strength to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The reporter saw at the scene that a large number of spectators came spontaneously on the first day of the exhibition.

For this reason, the Lunar Sample 001 in the National Bossi Hall has implemented a current limit, and the audience lined up in a long queue of more than 20 meters.

It is worth mentioning that the National Museum of Art Coffee Shop also specially launched the "Chang'e Flying to the Moon" theme of Latte Coffee. The pattern of the Latte is taken from the bronze mirror of the Moon Palace in the Museum of the National Museum.
