Hanover (dpa / lni) - Put on a thick sweater and turn the heating down a degree - this climate protection campaign, which originated in Belgium, has inspired fashion design students at the Hanover University to create a special collection.

Today they want to present their creations for “Big Sweater Day” in the state capital.

The students should process the topics of climate protection and sustainability in a creative way.

Melting glaciers or the littering of the oceans became motifs for tops.

However, students also used traditional methods and natural materials to approach the topic.

The campaign marks the end of the photo competition “Hanover is looking for its favorite winter outfit” for “Big Sweater Day” on February 7th, which promotes more climate protection and energy savings in private households.
