Leipzig / Oberwiesenthal (dpa / sn) - A cold front has brought snow to the Ore Mountains.

As the German Weather Service announced on Saturday, two to three centimeters of snow fell during the night due to the low temperatures in the high elevations of Saxony.

As the temperatures rise to up to 13 degrees in the coming days, the snow will thaw again.

According to the meteorologists, temperatures in the higher elevations will drop below zero again this coming weekend, so that frost and snow can be expected again.

Freezing temperatures could also occur during the day in the lower regions.
