No new case of Covid-19 has been revealed after a new series of tests carried out on Thursday, the French Rugby Federation announced on Friday, which therefore released the Blues, without a match since the postponement of France-Scotland.

"Following the RT-PCR tests carried out this Thursday evening, February 26, all the results are negative. Apart from the cases identified previously, there is therefore no new positive case for Covid-19", indicates the FFR in a statement.

"From this morning, the players return to their homes by individual transport," added the governing body.

The day before, the organizing committee of the Six Nations Tournament had announced the postponement of the match between France and Scotland, scheduled for Sunday and counting for the third day.

The screenings carried out on Wednesday had indeed made it possible to detect a new contaminated player, who would be the mainstay of La Rochelle Uini Atonio, bringing to sixteen the number of positive cases proven in the French contingent since the beginning of last week: twelve players and four members of the management, including coach Fabien Galthié.

The other matches of the Tournament this weekend, Italy-Ireland and Wales-England, are maintained.

Leader of the Six Nations Tournament, after two successes in Italy (50-10) then in Ireland (15-13), the XV of France must go to England on March 13 and then face Wales at the Stade de France during the week next.
