Schwerin (dpa / mv) - After the cooling breakdown with the Astrazeneca vaccine and the subsequent stop of vaccinations with this substance in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the company is now rolling again.

On Friday, the Impfstraße in the West Mecklenburg Clinic in Ludwigslust resumed work, as a district spokesman announced.

For the first day there were therefore 70 vaccination doses available.

Next week, 350 Astrazeneca vaccine doses could be given to people under 65 in Ludwigslust.

An Astrazeneca vaccination line in the Crivitz hospital is also due to start work on Monday.

According to the spokesman, 315 vaccinations are possible there next week.

Appointments could be made via the state hotline (0385 20 27 11 15).

According to the recommendations of the Standing Vaccination Commission, people between the ages of 18 and 64 can initially be vaccinated with Astrazeneca, who are assigned to the highest priority level one.

These are, for example, employees in nursing homes and outpatient care services, intensive care units, emergency rooms and rescue services.

The Ludwigslust-Parchim district announced that they would like to set up a nationwide network in the next few weeks so that people between the ages of 18 and 64 can be vaccinated with Astrazeneca as quickly as possible.

After the cold break in February, there are 12 200 vaccination doses of this substance on ice in MV 12 until it has been clarified whether they can still be used.

They had gotten too cold during the transport.
