The fact that four people died in one and the same accident leaves its mark in a small municipality like Sävsjö.
Just over 11,000 people live in the municipality and most know or know one of the victims.
The men who died were aged 65 to 75 years old, three of them lived in Sävsjö municipality.
Why the four were on the ice is unclear, but according to information to SVT they were a group that used to fish together, if they were out fishing when the accident happened is not known.
"Many affected"
During the morning, the municipality activated the crisis group Posum and the municipal management met to discuss how best to handle the incident.
- This is an event that really arouses horror, I think it is so incredibly tragic, says Stefan Gustafsson (KD) municipal councilor in Sävsjö.

We are a small municipality and many have connections to either those who have been injured or to relatives of them.
