Anders Nystedt, infection control doctor in Norrbotten, talks about what the situation looks like in the county.
- At the ski resorts, there are generally isolated cases.

There will be more cases of covid-19
However, he believes that the sports holiday weeks will result in several new covid cases in Norrbotten - which already have a large wave of new cases.
- Absolutely that it will render new cases of covid-19.
It is too many Swedes and we Norrbotten people who do not follow the regulations that apply.
When people travel, there is an increased spread of infection, but if it drowns in the growing trend that we are already seeing, I do not know.
Hope for information from the organizers
From the region's angle, it is hoped to receive information about signs of greater spread from the organizers.
- What we do is that we follow cases from where they are sampled and see if it looks like tourists.
Then we follow up the infection tracing and check where they may have contracted the infection and who may have been exposed, says Anders Nystedt.
