After three decades behind the stoves of a house famous around the world, he is about to return his apron.
Chef Christophe Muller will be leaving the kitchens of the Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or inn, temple of the Bocuse family, we learned from the person concerned, confirming information from the Lyon people site.
"I will speak in April, when things will be clear", indicated Christophe Muller, who attests to his departure but would have liked the information not to be leaked "during this period when the restaurants are closed".
Also executive chef of the Bocuse group, which brings together around twenty establishments and a shareholder in the Auberge de Collonges, near Lyon, Christophe Muller is reportedly negotiating his departure with a view to expatriation to Spain, a country including his wife is a native, according to the site of the monthly Lyon people.
A third star lost last year
The Alsatian thus turns a page started three decades ago at the Auberge de Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or, where he had perfected his apprenticeship and obtained the title of best worker in France in 2000, at the age of 27 years old.
After the death of the “pope” of French cuisine in January 2018, he formed a triumvirate in the kitchen of the iconic inn backing onto the Saône with chefs Gilles Reinhardt and Olivier Couvin.

Last year, the restaurant had its third Michelin star withdrawn after 55 years at the top and embarked on a major reinvention venture following the death of the patriarch.
