Seifhennersdorf (dpa) - The Oberlausitz Easter Bunny Post Office has reopened.

"The first letters have arrived, we even have mail from Russia," said Steffi Rücker.

The employee of the children's and youth recreation center (KiEZ) "Querxenland" in Seifhennersdorf (Görlitz district) has been slipping into the role of the long-eared addressee since 2008 and answers every letter.

A good 1,500 letters landed in the mailbox last year.

In addition to Germany, the senders come from all over the world, such as Hong Kong, Brazil, Taiwan, France, Great Britain, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Every child and adult receives a personal reply to the Easter bunny mail as well as a surprise that changes every year.

It is particularly important for the reply that the sender address is clearly legible.
