The mobile scam has also attracted attention in Denmark, where the appointment of Brightstar has surprised the company's business partners.

The Danish-German distributor Wortmann Nordicssays that they take the information seriously but await the outcome of the legal proceedings.

Now Brightstar's Nordic CEO Torben Pedersen is also commenting on the events.

He rejects the Swedish Tax Agency's accusation and believes that Brightstar itself has become a target for the "criminal gangs that exploit gaps in the country's VAT legislation".
