An investigation for an attempted murder in an organized gang was opened Thursday, after a man was seriously wounded by gunshot, in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon (Gard), learned

this Friday morning from the Nîmes prosecutor's office.
It is the police officers of the PJ of Avignon (Vaucluse) who are in charge of the investigations.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.
She was reportedly the target of a handgun fire.

Investigations are continuing in the department.
