Bielefeld / Preußisch Oldendorf (dpa / lnw) - Almost two years after a large amount of chemicals was found in a warehouse in Preußisch Oldendorf, a trial against two men at the Bielefeld Regional Court begins on March 15.

According to a statement from the court on Friday, the indictment accuses a 31-year-old from Rödinghausen (Herford district) and a 39-year-old from Preussisch Oldenburg (Minden-Lübbecke district) with the professional operation of a drug laboratory on an industrial scale.

Amphetamine oil should be produced in the hall.

One of the two defendants is said to have rented the hall and rebuilt it together with the second man.

This is said to have commissioned a company to provide cooling water by drilling a well.

Labor-related proceedings are pending against at least ten other people.

Amphetamine oil is the basic ingredient in the manufacture of synthetic drugs such as speed.

The laboratory was blown after a cable fire at the end of April 2019, which the fire brigade had to extinguish.
