Schwerin (dpa / mv) - Companies in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania can currently apply for funds from more than a dozen Corona aid programs.

In addition to federal aid such as November and December aid, there are currently more than ten programs running from the state, for example for stationary retail or hotels, as the Ministry of Economics in Schwerin announced on request.

Several application deadlines therefore end on Sunday.

Until then, applications for so-called start-up assistance are still possible.

According to the ministry, this is aimed at accommodation and catering businesses in the state that have also applied for federal November aid.

This start-up aid amounts to a further five percent of the comparable sales from the federal program.

This money is a one-time lump sum that does not have to be paid back.

According to the information, the application deadline for advancing federal economic aid also ends on Sunday.

There the state is partly making advance payments because the state government believes that the federal funds are being paid out too slowly.

This affects companies that have been closed since December 16 due to the corona measures.

This includes many shops.

The pre-financing is therefore intended as a loan until the federal funds have flowed.

The interest-free loan is said to be 45 percent of the fixed operating costs in January and February, such as rents, ancillary costs and insurance.

A company can therefore receive a maximum of 200,000 euros from the state.

20 million euros are planned for this pre-financing.

How much of it has already been paid out was initially not known.

Retailers who want to receive a market presence premium have an extra month.

Applications can still be submitted until the end of March.

This involves a one-time lump sum of 5000 euros that can be used, for example, for advertising or setting up an online shop.

Hotels and other accommodations can also submit funds for a modernization program that also emerged during the corona pandemic until the end of March.

Some programs will also run until summer.

According to the ministry, this applies to the restart bonus that employees receive after short-time work.
