Berlin (dpa / bb) - The police want to check compliance with the corona protective measures again at the weekend in Berlin.

The officials also have the inner city parks in view, as a police spokesman said on Friday.

Last weekend, many people were out and about in Volkspark Friedrichshain, Mauerpark, Park am Gleisdreieck and Görlitzer Park.

Up to 7,000 visitors at the same time enjoyed the warm temperatures in the Mauerpark on Sunday afternoon.

The police carried out admission controls at times.

The spokesman said that the people largely obeyed the rules.

On the weekends, up to 100 workers checked compliance with the corona rules in the evenings.

A cool weekend is just around the corner in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The German Weather Service (DWD) expects 7 to 10 degrees on Saturday.

During the day, the sun should increasingly show itself.

At night, temperatures should drop to 3 to 0 degrees.

Weather experts often expect sunshine on Sundays.

The temperatures should reach 9 to 11 degrees.
