Hamburg (AP) - The women from Buxtehuder SV have again missed a victory in the handball Bundesliga.
With the 20:20 (13:10) at Bayer Leverkusen, coach Dirk Leun's team was able to end a series of three defeats.
The best thrower at BSV was Mia Lakenmacher (5 goals).
After the 13:10 half-time lead, BSV often had a difficult attack in the second round and failed several times against Leverkusen's goalkeeper Vanessa Fehr.
Even an 18:15 lead eight minutes before the end was not enough for success.
The BSV has to compete at HSG Bensheim / Auerbach on Sunday (4 p.m.).
During the half-time break, the semi-finals for the Cup Final Four were drawn in Stuttgart on May 15 and 16.
The handball lynxes Buchholz 08-Rosengarten will meet HSG Blomberg-Lippe, where coach Dubravko Prelcec's team will also have to compete in the Bundesliga on Sunday (4 p.m.).
