Brooklyn Nets star forward Kevin Durant, injured in his left leg, will be absent from the basketball courts until March 10 and will therefore miss the All-Star Game scheduled for March 7 in Atlanta, his new team announced on Friday. -Yorkese.
Durant has already missed six games due to his hamstring strain, after the Nets on February 14 announced they would only miss two.
His trainer Steve Nash had considered this week that he could return on March 5 for the week of the All-Star game, but an MRI put an end to that hope.
"The latest images show his injury more clearly and we are confident Durant will return to his best level with this additional recovery period," the Nets wrote in a statement.
Durant, before his injury, posted stats of 29 points per game, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
He should have been one of the two captains of the All-Star Games against that of LeBron James, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers.
