The labor court in the Ras Al Khaimah Courts recorded an increase in the number of registered labor cases during the past year, by 54% compared to 2019, as the number of registered cases reached 1205 cases in 2020, compared to 778 cases registered in 2019.

The head of Ras Al Khaimah Courts, Counselor Ahmed Muhammad Al-Khatiri, stated that 99.83% of labor cases were decided during the past year, as the number of dismissed labor cases reached 1203 cases, out of a total of 1205 cases, as two cases were transferred to this year, while the settlement was completed By mutual consent between the parties to the case in 74 labor lawsuits.

He added that the average age of the case in the labor court reaches from one to two working days since the case was filed, pointing out that the labor court held 2,693 judicial sessions last year, including 2,076 sessions via direct visual communication technology, since the remote litigation system was applied during the pandemic period. He explained that the judicial rulings issued by the Labor Court according to the degrees of litigation, 1203 judgments, which were divided into 940 judgments from the court of first instance, 254 judgments from the court of appeal, and nine judgments from the court of cassation.

He stated that the Labor Court has designated 11 departments to hear labor cases, including four partial circuits, four for one session, one college session, a labor appeals circuit, and a labor discrimination circuit.
