“The President stressed the relevance of interaction with NATO to ensure security in the Black Sea.

He spoke in support of expanding the scale of the alliance's activities in the Black Sea region, ”the message says.

Zelensky also noted that Ukraine is interested in increasing the presence of forces of NATO member countries.

As specified, the secretary general of the alliance noted that NATO will make efforts to increase its presence in the Black Sea and added that both NATO and the member states of the alliance on a bilateral basis should strengthen their assistance in training the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

The Ukrainian president also stressed that Kiev is ready to participate in the new operations of the alliance. 

Earlier, Zelensky said that Ukraine's immediate goal is to obtain a NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP).
