The Bahrain News Agency said that Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed today, Thursday, during a phone call between them, the importance of the participation of countries in the region in any negotiations on the Iranian nuclear file.

The two sides stressed the need for the negotiations to include broader issues that have a role in consolidating the foundations of security and stability in the region, according to the agency.

For his part, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said - in a statement - that the Crown Prince of Bahrain renewed his invitation to Netanyahu to visit Manama.

He added that it was agreed that the Israeli prime minister would visit the Kingdom at the first opportunity, according to what the epidemiological situation permits in light of the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

He added that the Crown Prince of Bahrain informed the Israeli Prime Minister that Bahrain is interested in joining the investment in the vaccine factory, which is planned to be established in Israel with the participation of other countries.

Netanyahu had postponed at least twice at the end of last year and early this year a visit he intended to make to the UAE and Bahrain, due to the restrictions imposed by the Corona outbreak.

Since the normalization of relations between Bahrain and Israel in mid-September in Washington under what is known as the Abraham Agreement - which was mediated by the administration of former US President Donald Trump - senior officials from both sides exchanged visits during which agreements were concluded in various fields, and an Israeli diplomat was recently appointed as Chargé d'Affairs.
