It is the green-blue majority in City Hall that is behind the decision to sell the public apartments.
- Now people who live in the suburbs also get the opportunity to buy their apartments, says Dennis Wedin (M) who is a housing and real estate citizen council in Stockholm.

The opposition is critical
The goal is that eleven areas where public utility dominates will now have a more mixed housing stock.
But the opposition in City Hall is critical.
- There is already a shortage of cheap apartments and these are rental apartments that will never return to Stockholm's housing market, says Opposition Mayor Karin Wanngård (S).
