Kiel (dpa / lno) - A large majority of the state parliament campaigned for better protection of children and young people from sexual violence.
"The protection of children and young people must have the highest priority in our society," said the SPD daycare politician Serpil Midyatli on Thursday.
On Wednesday, parliament had already anchored 140,000 euros in the budget for protection against sexual violence.
In the budget consultations, however, there was no majority in favor of the SPD's demand for a prevention program to protect children with a budget of 350,000 euros.
