One of the sites that has sent personal information to Google is the Public Prosecutor's Office, which after Ekot's review has reported itself to the Privacy Protection Authority.

- It is deficient of us, quite simply.

I can not say anything other than that, says Anders Thoursie, IT director at the Public Prosecutor's Office to SR.

What is sent to the company are IP addresses, which are classified as personal data by the European Court of Justice, as they can be used to identify individual users.

Personal data may now be stored in the United States, where the protection of the European Court of Justice does not apply.

FMV sent information to Google

The Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, FMV, is another authority that has saved and sent information to Google.

For example, everyone who visited an advertisement for a vacancy at the authority has had their IP address forwarded.

Of the 500 sites reviewed, over 150 have forwarded visitors' IP addresses without informing them, and about eighty have promised anonymity to the users - and still sent the information.
