Oberstdorf (dpa) - Today, Thursday, the first decisions are on the program at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf.
In the morning (9.00 a.m.) cross-country skiers first have to qualify for the sprint before the finals begin in the morning (11.30 a.m. / Eurosport).
Peter Schlickenrieder's German team starts in both competitions as a clear outsider.
In the evening (5 p.m. / ARD and Eurosport) the female ski jumpers will choose their first individual world champion on the normal hill.
Katharina Althaus took silver at the World Championship two years ago, but has not yet landed on the podium this World Cup winter.
