Kiel (dpa / lno) - The state parliament declared itself on Thursday to protect and promote Jewish life in Schleswig-Holstein.

"We have to stop seeing Jews as the others," said Education Minister Karin Prien (CDU) in the state parliament.

There is no we and no you.

"We are them.

And whoever attacks us will feel our bitter resistance. "

CDU, SPD, Greens, FDP and SSW agreed on a common text.

It clearly states: "Schleswig-Holstein and Judaism belong together."

1700 years ago it was first documented that Jews live in what is now Germany.

This was the case much later in Schleswig-Holstein.
