Potsdam (dpa) - The actress Jutta Hoffmann sees social distancing as the most effective protection against infection from Corona.
She was currently reading "1918 - the world in fever" by Laura Spinney about the Spanish flu, she told the German press agency.
In it the author says that "snot droplets" are quite effective projectiles.
"We stick to the rules, put on the mask, keep our distance and wash our hands," said Hoffmann on how to behave in times of Corona.
The actress, who was born near Halle an der Saale, will be 80 years old on March 3 - but the celebration is canceled due to Corona.
Waiting for a birthday party possibly next year, the jubilee also gains something positive: "I'm staying in my seventies."
