US lawmakers presented a draft resolution against Iran in Congress, while the Europeans welcomed the possibility of Washington returning to the nuclear agreement, while Tehran called on the American and European parties to fulfill their obligations under the agreement.

The bill he submitted to Congress calls for 46 Republican lawmakers to prohibit the administration from lifting sanctions on Iran or allowing it to deal with the US banking system.

The bill also calls for not lifting or easing sanctions on Iran until it gives up its nuclear ambitions.

Europeans .. commitment and concern

For its part, the European Union renewed its commitment to support the Iranian nuclear agreement and work with the international community to preserve and implement it, welcoming at the same time the prospects of the United States returning to the agreement and Iran's return to full implementation of it.

In a statement, the Union expressed its concern about Iran's decision to suspend the additional protocol, adding that if this step is not stopped, this will impede the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency to monitor Iran's nuclear activities and its commitment to peaceful uses.

The Union affirmed its support for the Agency's work and its monitoring of Tehran's commitment to peaceful activities and the need for its cooperation to achieve this goal.

Call to correct errors

In Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Washington had recognized that Tehran adhered to the nuclear agreement before the United States withdrew from the agreement.

He added in his tweet on Twitter that the US administration and European countries should take the necessary steps to correct the measures that led to Tehran's decision to reduce its nuclear commitments, before calling on Iran to backtrack on these steps.

He stressed that the US administration has not reversed its mistake in withdrawing from the agreement so far, and European countries have not implemented their obligations and have not had commercial cooperation with Iran for 3 years.
