Oberstdorf (dpa) - The German ski jumpers were unable to intervene in the battle for the podium at the start of the home World Cup.
The Oberstdorf local hero Katharina Althaus came in only tenth as the best athlete in the team of national coach Andreas Bauer.
It was very bitter for Carina Vogt on Thursday.
The 2014 Olympic champion only jumped to 30th place.
The Slovenian Ema Klinec secured the first ski jumping gold of the title fights in the Allgäu.
Silver went to Maren Lundby from Norway, bronze went to Sara Takanashi from Japan.
Second best German was Anna Rupprecht in 14th place, Juliane Seyfarth landed in 21st place.
