The recommendation on distance education applies to both upper secondary school and upper secondary school in grades 8 and 9. For these age groups, the infection control doctor also recommends that you refrain from indoor sports training in groups during week 9 and that the municipalities do not provide premises for these activities.

- Even though we have a continued downward trend in Kronoberg, there is a risk that the spread of infection could increase due to new contacts made during the sports holiday and therefore we must take these measures, says infection control doctor Christian Blomkvist in a press release.

Also applies to adult sports holidaymakers

Even adults who have been free during the sports holiday and made new contacts must take special care during week 9, the region writes.

For example, these people are encouraged to work from home if possible, keep their distance, meet as few people as possible and pay extra attention to symptoms the week after the sports holiday.

These recommendations and especially to try if you have been abroad are especially important, the region writes.

From week 10 until the Easter break, the same recommendations that were communicated to the schools last week apply, ie that half of the students are in place at the upper secondary school, provided that the infection situation does not deteriorate.
