- It is a race we have never seen before that hits jobs and companies in Dalarna extremely hard, says Jonas Siljhammar, CEO of the hospitality industry's industry organization, Visita.

Revenues from tourism in the county decreased by 4.8 billion between March and December 2020, compared to the same period the year before, according to a compilation made by Visita.

This corresponds to a race of 30 percent.

The largest loss is from foreign tourists, where revenues decreased by just over 70 percent.

 - The crisis continues and the risk is that even more jobs will disappear if the government's promised support is not paid out immediately, says Jonas Siljehammar, who also believes that lifting restrictions as soon as the infection situation allows is crucial for jobs in the future.
