The White House is organizing a ceremony this Thursday to encourage Americans to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

The Biden administration makes this its top priority.

The United States is approaching the milestone of 50 million people vaccinated against Covid-19.

This symbolic milestone should be crossed this week with a double positive trend which is confirmed in the United States.

First of all, a very clear drop in contamination - less than 35% for two weeks - and at the same time, the vaccination of the population which continues to increase in power.

Every day, an average of 1.5 million Americans receive their first dose of the vaccine.

So the

logistical boondoggles

of early January in distribution are over.

Joe Biden could even keep his promise: 100 million vaccines during his first 100 days in office.

This prospect is all the more realistic with the arrival of a third vaccine on the market.

The

Johnson & Johnson

vaccine is

expected to be licensed this week.

It has the great advantage of being administered in a single dose unlike Moderna and Pfizer.

But the road to collective immunity is still long.

According to estimates, at this rate, we will have to wait until this summer for half of Americans to be vaccinated and at least the end of the year for the entire population to finally be vaccinated in the United States.
