For Isaberg, the sports holiday weeks are going unusually well, despite pandemics and restrictions.

Last year it was not possible to open at all due to too mild weather.

Malin Bengnér, infection control doctor in Jönköping County, is not particularly worried about visiting skiers.

- The problem is not that you travel, but how you behave when you do it - if you think about keeping your distance and not crowded in shops and restaurants.

The Danes who usually account for a large proportion of the visits have been absent, instead new groups have found their way here, says CEO Louise Söderlund.

At the restaurant, 40 percent of the tables have been removed and a guard has been installed so that no one can sit more than four at each table.

There are single queues for the lifts and the heating cabins are closed.

Signs are reminiscent of keeping a rod length apart.

Positive effects

Isaberg, like other ski resorts, has set a maximum ceiling for how many lift passes are sold per day.

The cards must be purchased in advance, something that has been a change for those who are used to coming and going spontaneously.

But for the plant, the pre-orders still have positive effects.

- This is how we have full control of how many come and it is easier to plan for staffing.

It feels like we are much more in balance, says Louise Söderlund.

She is open to having a maximum ceiling, albeit higher, even after the pandemic.

- Actually, it's not strange.

There must be a stop somewhere.

Globen and Scandinavium also do not let in as many as they like.

At the beginning of December - when the snow shone with its absence, it looked a little tougher for Isaberg, but despite stationary lifts they managed.
