Berlin / Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Within one day, 854 new infections with the corona virus were registered in Hesse.

The so-called seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within the past seven days, was 61.6 as can be seen from data from the Robert Koch Institute on Thursday (as of 3.10 a.m.).

On Wednesday it was 60.3.

A total of 186 288 cases have been detected in Hesse since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of deaths related to the virus increased by 24 to 5,775. Among the districts and urban districts, the Groß-Gerau district had 97.2, the Lahn-Dill district with 87.2 and the Main-Kinzig district 83.5 had the highest incidence values.
