• Investigation. The prisoner who sold the material of Commissioner Villarejo, to the former 'number two' of the Interior: "I have information on Rajoy"

The head of the Central Court of Instruction Number 6 of the National Court

Manuel García Castellón

has agreed to summon the former Secretary of State for Security

Francisco Martínez

in the separate piece of the

Tandem

case

where the sale of sensitive material of Commissioner

José Manuel Villarejo

is investigated

while he was in prison.

In an order, the instructor agrees to summon Martínez as investigated at the request of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office and anticipates that he will determine the day of his appearance in another separate resolution.

As EL MUNDO revealed last January, the prisoner who offered sensitive material from Villarejo in his penitentiary permits, the lawyer Alfonso Pazos, met in secret with Francisco Martínez, to whom he transmitted that the former undercover agent had in his power abundant information on the former President of the Government and the Popular Party

Mariano Rajoy,

the former Minister of Defense and former Secretary General of the popular

María Dolores de Cospedal

, in addition to various compromising documentation for conservative training.

He wanted Martínez to convey that message to those affected.

The meeting took place in a hotel located in the Plaza de España in Madrid after last summer.

But it was not the only time that the lawyer Alfonso Pazos contacted the former Secretary of State for Security -who is currently being investigated in the 'Kitchen operation' for the "para-police" espionage to the former treasurer of the PP Luis Bárcenas-, already that the prelude to that meeting were several phone calls to Martínez made by Pazos.

According to sources in the case, the lawyer had previously telephoned

Jorge Fernández Díaz's

former number two on up to three occasions

with the intention of transmitting a clear message from Commissioner Villarejo: the policeman had nothing against him, but he wanted him to do reach the PP that had very sensitive documentation on who were its top former leaders.

Sources familiar with the contacts that Villarejo's trusted prisoner had with the former Secretary of State for the Interior explain that all the calls were made on behalf of the Tándem leader.

Over the months, the message that the once all-powerful Police Commissioner tried to convey is that he had information that would shake the foundations of the Popular Party, wanting to use Martínez as a "transmission belt" with Genoa.
