Stuttgart (dpa) - The seven-day incidence of corona infections has risen again slightly in the southwest.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week was, according to the Baden-Württemberg State Health Office on Wednesday (as of 4:00 p.m.) at 47.6, after the value had been lower on the previous days.

On Tuesday the incidence was 45.5, on Monday 44.8, on Sunday 44.0.

After the most recent Prime Minister's Conference, Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) spoke of the fact that retailers, for example, can only hope for easing in a week if the incidence value is below 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

The State Health Office reported 1,119 new corona infections, the number of all cases in the southwest since the beginning of the pandemic rose to 313,496. The number of deaths who died with or from Sars-CoV-2 rose by 22 to exactly 8,000 292 105 people.

Broken down at the district level, the district of Schwäbisch Hall (151.5) continues to have by far the highest seven-day incidence.

Around 438,000 people have now been vaccinated at least once, and more than 229,000 people have received two vaccinations.
