Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The teachers in elementary schools and daycare educators in Brandenburg should soon receive a corona vaccination offer.
"The goal is that you get your vaccine as soon as possible," said the spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Gabriel Hesse, on Wednesday of the German press agency.
But that needs a certain lead time.
The Ministry of Education will inform the teachers of elementary and special schools about the vaccinations.
Who informs the daycare educators is currently still being voted on.
Where they should get their protection is still open.
Vaccination centers and hospitals are under discussion.
"We'll vote on that now," said the spokesman.
Since Wednesday, people who work in childcare facilities, day care and primary schools can also be vaccinated nationwide according to the vaccination ordinance.
Because of an increased risk of infection in the Brandenburg elementary schools that have been reopened for alternate classes, teachers are to be better protected.
Daycare centers are basically still open.

According to the statistics office, there were around 8,200 teachers in primary schools in Brandenburg in the 2019/20 school year who worked full-time or part-time.
According to the Ministry of Education, the number of pedagogical employees in daycare centers was just under 22,000 in 2019.
