The child survived a vertiginous fall.
According to
Le Progrès,
an 18-month-old baby escaped the vigilance of adults on Tuesday morning in the Montchovet district in Saint-Etienne (Loire) and managed to climb to the window before falling into the void.
As if by a miracle, the fall of the little one was cushioned, on the ground, by a pile of wood chips.
The child would have got up immediately, according to the regional daily, and would have been slightly injured in the foot.
The baby was taken care of by the firefighters and then by a Samu team.
He was taken to the pediatric emergency room at the northern hospital of Saint-Priest-en-Jarez.
