Rüsselsheim (dpa / lhe) - In a dispute over a parked car in a parking lot in Rüsselsheim, a man was seriously injured by being shot in the face with a blank gun.

The 33-year-old was taken to hospital on Tuesday evening, slightly injured, the police reported.

Less than half an hour later, the shooter, a 32-year-old, surrendered to the police station.

He claimed to have been attacked with a knife by the other during the argument in the rugby ring.

He then defended himself with the alarm gun.

According to the police, he was also slightly injured, and criminal proceedings were initiated against both of them.
