Shortly before ten o'clock, about 15 to 20 people came to the AfD stand on the market square in Schorndorf and suddenly attacked it and the party members there.
According to the police, the group “can be assigned to the anti-fascist scene because of the flags and banners that were carried”.
"We have never seen extremists in the district run straight to a polling station and attack in a targeted manner," said a spokesman for the responsible police department in Aalen WELT.
According to a letter of confession that was published on several left-wing extremist Internet platforms, the attack on Saturday should not be a single action - but part of a new anti-fascist offensive for the election year: "Antifascist Action - Against Right-Wing Crisis Solutions". The homepage set up for this purpose says: “No AfD stand and none of your event” should remain undisturbed. "The AfD must be consistently banned from our streets."
