On February 22, local time, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) released a first-view video of the Perseverance rover landing on the surface of Mars.

The microphone on the probe also provided audio recordings from Mars.

US media reported that Perseverance landed in a crater last week and will soon begin to explore traces of microbes on Mars.

"Perseverance" is also the latest robotic probe launched by NASA to Mars since the "Curiosity" landed on Mars in 2012.

The focus of this mission is astrobiology, which may completely change scientists' understanding of Mars.
