Munich (dpa / lby) - The search for a mother and her 16-year-old daughter kept Munich in suspense in the summer of 2019.

Although their bodies have never been found, the wife's husband and stepfather of the girl are now on trial for murder.

Today (1 p.m.) the judgment against the 46-year-old is expected at the Munich I district court.

It's about manslaughter and murder.

Prosecutors accuse the man of killing his wife in an argument in July 2019 and then murdering his stepdaughter in order to cover up the previous crime.

The public prosecutor's office demands life imprisonment for the accused German-Russian.

In addition, the particular gravity of the guilt should be determined.

The defendant has denied in court that he had anything to do with the disappearance of his wife and stepdaughter and demanded - like his defense lawyer - acquittal.
