It was in the spring that the judge and a previously employed lawyer at the district court in Värmland met three young women aged 17-18 out at the pub in Karlstad.

The evening ended with the men taking the women to the district court where there was initially information that there had been a purchase of sex.

The incident was reported to the police, but the preliminary investigation was closed in November for lack of evidence that something criminal had happened.

The lawyer reported

The incident was reported by the court's lawyer Lars Holmgård to the State Liability Committee, which has now decided to issue a warning to the judge.

According to the Liability Committee, there is no doubt that trust in the judge as well as in Värmland's District Court and courts in general has been damaged.

Damaged trust

The board also considers that it must have been obvious to him already that night that his way of using the district court's premises would entail clear risks of such a damage to trust.

"XX actions deviate significantly from the requirements for conduct and professionalism that should be able to be placed especially on an ordinary judge," they write in their decision.

The board's task is to try questions about disciplinary liability, prosecution, dismissal, suspension and medical examination by force regarding government employees in senior positions.
