The victim could not be revived.

This Tuesday morning, around 10 am, a man died in Lyon, after being struck by a metro train on line A, learned

from Rhône firefighters, confirming information from Lyon Mag.

For an undetermined reason, the victim would have descended on the tracks at the Ampère station, taking the tunnel leading to the Bellecour station, before being violently mown by an oncoming train.

The man died instantly.

Following this accident, the circulation of metro A was partially interrupted.

"The stations from Masséna to Perrache

are no longer served in both directions of traffic ”, indicate the TCL, which foresees a return to normal traffic around noon on Tuesday.

An investigation will be conducted to clarify the circumstances of this tragedy and for what reason, in particular, the man came down on the tracks, putting his life in danger.
