Some colleagues have been talking about the daily auction of a fake gendarme for a few days.

The scene takes place in Lampaul-Plouarzel, in Finistère, where an actor passes by every evening in his small town to announce the start of the curfew.

Armed with a megaphone, he walks the streets on his bicycle to warn the population.

His cult phrase?

“It's going to be all black!

".

What the inhabitants like to answer him: “Shut up”.

A reference to the movie

RRRrrrr !!!

directed by Alain Chabat and released in 2004 where a prehistoric man announces the imminent arrival of night.

This initiative, we owe it to actor Eric Hervé.

Ouest-France

had met him ten days ago to better understand the reasons for this daily gesture.

"For me, the curfew is an absurd action and I decided to denounce it through absurdity", explained the one who calls himself "Jean-Luc Lapolice".

It must be said that his department of residence is the least affected by the coronavirus epidemic.

Last week, Finistère was even the only “green” department in France, that is to say below the alert threshold of 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

If the threshold was crossed on Monday, the department remains by far the least affected by the Covid-19.

And what about its small town of 2,300 inhabitants, located in the far west of France, within oars reach of the island of Ouessant.

A nice meeting for the inhabitants

It is on the basis of this observation that Eric Hervé had this idea in January.

For over a month, he has been riding his bike every evening to announce the curfew in Lampaul-Plouerzel but also in a few towns around where he has ventured.

In addition to attracting the media from all over France, the actor offers the inhabitants of the town a nice little moment before everyone goes home.

Every day, the actor films himself and broadcasts his performance on his Facebook page.

And every day, there are people to accompany him.
