Wittislingen (dpa / lby) - A walker found a skinned dead dog in a parking lot in Wittislingen (Dillingen an der Donau district).
The woman found the carcass wrapped in newspaper on Sunday, the police said on Monday.
A veterinarian confirmed that the animal was a dog.
The dog, which apparently had the identification chip removed, had been shot.
The police are now investigating animal cruelty and are looking for the strangers who had disposed of the dog in the parking lot.
