Mönchengladbach (dpa) - The Gladbach professional footballer Jonas Hofmann has denied rumors of conflicts between the outgoing coach Marco Rose and the team.

"You heard so much nonsense what was being said," said the Bundesliga player on Monday at "kicker meets DAZN".

“What do I know that there would have been verbal attacks.

That is something of a lie. "

Borussia sports director Max Eberl had previously complained of "lies" that had been spread in the cabin about alleged disputes between Rose and players.

Also, contrary to what some media reported, there was no meeting with the team council in which it demanded the separation from Rose.

"I'm shocked at how dull and stupid you perceive something like that," Eberl had said.

Mönchengladbach had announced a week ago that Rose would like to make use of a release clause in the contract in the summer to move to Borussia Dortmund.

Several fans had criticized Rose on the Internet for his decision and demanded that he be given an immediate leave of absence.
