Hear when the ice plug at Luleälven exploded

Last week, SVT Norrbotten reported that Mikael Andersson's house was in danger of collapsing.

This is due to the formation of an ice plug in the Lule River at Övrebodarna.

On Monday afternoon, it was time to blow up the ice plug to open up new roads for the water to travel.

The barrier for the public was 300 meters.

- It is not so easy to get to this area with any other machines.

So blasting was the alternative that felt the fastest to get a permit for, says Tord Eriksson, production manager at Vattenfall.
