A 27-year-old young man succumbed to his injuries Sunday evening at CHU Grenoble-Alpes, after a ski touring accident in the afternoon.

He was then with a friend on the 2 Alpes resort, at the Pierre Grosse piste (closed), when he was swept away by an avalanche, indicates

His friend immediately notified the emergency services after this snowfall and he was able to locate him thanks to his avalanche victim detector (DVA), then he partly cleared it.

Rescuers from the CRS des Alpes and a doctor from Samu, arrived by helicopter, then managed to resuscitate the young man, found in cardio-respiratory arrest.

Transported to CHU Grenoble-Alpes in critical condition, the young inhabitant of Freney-d'Oisans (Isère) died there in the evening.
