It's a double-edged sword for Justin Trudeau when he gets together for a virtual meeting with Joe Biden on Tuesday.

On the one hand, the Canadian Prime Minister can be honored that the new US President has chosen him for his first bilateral meeting.

On the other hand, the appointment with the powerful southern neighbor has a stale aftertaste for Trudeau.

He will again focus on how much better the USA is doing than Canada when it comes to Covid vaccination.

And the comparison with Germany is not exactly flattering for the Canadian prime minister, who recently claimed after a phone call with Angela Merkel that the chancellor was "envious" of the vaccination campaign in his country.

That was already received with a shake of the head.
