AED 7.2 billion in IDEX and NAVDEX deals during the second day

The second day of "IDEX" and "NAVDEX" exhibitions 2021 witnessed the UAE Armed Forces announcing the signing of 11 deals worth 7.293 billion dirhams with local and international companies, bringing the total of deals witnessed by the two exhibitions since their inception to about 12.323 billion dirhams.

The spokesperson for IDEX and NAVDEX, Brigadier General Muhammad Khamis Al-Hassani, said that the total foreign deals amounted to 6.983 billion dirhams, which represents 95% of the total value of deals, while the value of local deals reached 310 million dirhams, or 5%.

Al-Hassani pointed out during a press conference that the foreign contracts were distributed to 9 foreign companies, and two local deals.

Brigadier General Fahd Nasser Al-Dhhali said that the most prominent foreign deals that were concluded were with SAAB AB to purchase early warning aircraft type G6000 for the Air Force Command and Air Defense with a value of 3.742 billion dirhams, and another contract with RAYTHEON to purchase missiles. Patriot type / GEM-T / for the Air Force and Air Defense Command, worth 2.614 billion dirhams.

Foreign deals also included a contract with FERRETTI, worth 136.3 million dirhams.

The Armed Forces also contracted with the company / JOINT STOCK / for technical support for the electronic warfare field system for fictitious targets for the Air Force and Air Defense Command with a value of 30 million dirhams, and a contract with / HESCO BASTION / to purchase the defensive walls for the Land Forces Command at a value of 27.9 million dirhams.

The deals included a contract with the company / RUVEX / worth 3.110 million dirhams, a deal with / ART INTERNATIONAL EURO / to supply spare parts and provide training and technical support / Cobra radar / in favor of the General Maintenance Corps Command at a value of 110.190 million dirhams, and a contract with / SAFRAN ELECTRONICS /, to renew A contract for the provision of spare parts, maintenance, repair and binoculars inspection for the Leclerc and armored tanks / BMP3 / at a value of 85.470 million dirhams, in addition to a contract with / DTEC / for the purchase of 50-meter-long traffic boats for the vital installations and coastal protection apparatus, at a value of 233.740 dirhams.

For its part, Lieutenant-Colonel Sarah Hamad Al-Hajri said that the local contracts included a contract with the International Golden Group to purchase 122 mm rockets for the ground forces at a value of 285 million dirhams, and a contract with Ahmed Al Mazrouei Metal Industries to provide technical support, install weapons bases and maintain Moving targets for the Training Directorate, worth 25 million dirhams.
